Visit the House
It is important that visitors to the House use the signposted Hylands House entrance from the A414 dual carriageway (London Road). Please follow the road through the park to use the car park located next to the House. There is no vehicle access to this car park from the Park only entrance, on the A414 single carriageway (Writtle bypass).
By Car

The entrances for Hylands House and Park are clearly signposted from this road. When driving through the grounds, please respect other park users, use your hazard warning lights and keep to the 10mph speed limit.
Walking

To walk from Galleywood, follow the signs for the Centenary Circle Footpath, and then cross the A414 to reach Hylands.
Cycling

- Via the Hylands House entrance from the A414 dual carriageway (London Road) - you can cycle along the A414, but you will need to cross over the road if you are coming from Chelmsford.

On arrival, bicycles can be parked securely in the cycle racks in the car park next to the House.
