In addition to the funds raised through subscriptions the Friends organise fund raising and social events throughout the year and enjoy a considerable amount of success. This is in no small way down to the efforts and commitment of the members in many varied capacities.
The Friends Bookshop carries a good stock of second hand books covering all subjects and includes a collectors corner. There is also a book tracing service.
The Friends rely on donations of all types of books to the bookshop and can arrange home visits for larger collections.
Managed entirely by Friends volunteers, the bookshop is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 4 pm (to 5 pm from 1st April to 30 th September)
