Mid 19th Century Bronze Candelabra

The first item was purchased in the Spring of 1999. A mid-nineteenth century pair of handsome bronze candelabra made by F. Barbedienne. The Museums Service have been able to ascertain that Barbedienne was a prominent second-empire furniture manufacturer and the best known 19th century Parisian bronze founder, working for Barye and other leading sculptors. The candelabra are on display in the Library.
