The thought of an evening listening to music of the 17th and 18th century might not appeal to all, but on Sunday those present were treated to an hour of sheer enjoyment, when three skilled musicians from Coggeshall entertained us on the flute, recorder, cello, spinette and piano.
The instruments blended together beautifully and transported us back to the atmosphere of earlier centuries, in the elegant surroundings of the drawing room. This was followed by a tasty supper prepared by our own Hutton caterers. It was a delightful evening.
