We feel after an evening like this, that we have had a flying visit to the West End. What a treat! Each soloist put so much into the character they were portraying that they brought it alive. Different songs appeal to different people. I think the ones I enjoyed most were the gentle singing of 'Someone Else's Story' by Sarah Barton and the beautifully sung `Les Miserable' solo by Sean Quigley.
Peter Snell is a brilliant accompanist, supporting the soloists without drawing attention to himself and giving us the pleasure of listening to his beautiful playing between the verses.
Patrick Tucker has again put together an enjoyable varied programme and conducted the well-balanced chorus in enhancing the voices of the soloists.
We so appreciated this evening of quality singing, followed by a very tasty supper provided by 'The Friends of Hylands', sending us all home replete in every way.
